Job description
The CFRO is responsible for Poolder’s financial policy, integrated risk management, and compliance. This role consolidates all oversight functions into one position and serves as the central guardian of controlled and ethical business operations. The CFRO is also the primary point of contact for regulators.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and monitoring financial reports, budgets, cash flow, and annual accounts for both the fund manager (Poolder) and Poolder’s funds.
Developing and maintaining Poolder’s risk management framework.
Responsible for all risk and compliance activities, including AML/Sanctions Act and AIFMD compliance.
Acting as liaison with the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), the fund custodian, and external auditors.
Overseeing internal controls (Administrative Organization/Internal Control – AO/IC).
Desired background and experience
At least 5 years of experience in finance, risk, and compliance within investment firms, with at least 2 years under AIFMD.
Experience in developing risk management and compliance policies.
In-depth knowledge of AIFMD regulations, AML/Sanctions legislation, and supervisory relations.
Experience with annual financial statements, audit processes, and prudent financial reporting.
AFM suitability requirements (Policy-maker group B)
Executive experience: At least 2 years as a policymaker, including 1 continuous year.
Managerial experience: At least 2 years of hierarchical leadership, including 1 continuous year.
Subject-matter expertise (specific): At least 2 years of recent experience in risk management, compliance, or financial management.
Experience under AIFMD: At least 2 years.
